Hampton Road Social Club

On April 18th, JBB returned to Hampton Road Social Club in Blackpool and once again it proved why we always look forward to playing this fantastic venue. Every time we come here we are guaranteed a warm welcome with a brilliant atmosphere and a crowd that knows exactly how to enjoy a night of live music. This visit was no exception. From the moment we started until the very last song of the night the dance floor was full and the energy in the room never dropped for a second.

There was a great turnout with plenty of familiar faces in the audience as well as some new ones joining the fun. It is always lovely to see people returning time after time and it means a lot to us that so many choose to spend their evening with JBB. Among those in attendance were the ever-popular Blues Brothers, who added their own touch of fun to the night, along with Chris’s father, who was there enjoying every minute of the entertainment.

As always, the crowd helped make the evening special. There is something about Hampton Road Social Club that creates the perfect party atmosphere. The room was filled with laughter, smiling faces and people of all ages getting involved. Nights like this remind us exactly why we love what we do. Live music is about bringing people together and that is exactly what happened once again.

Although everyone played their part in making it such a memorable evening, two stars of the show deserve a special mention.

The first was Sophia. Anyone who knows her will know that she is usually very shy and not always keen on loud noises or busy surroundings. But on this night, she completely came out of her shell. She was up on the dance floor with confidence, showing all of us oldies exactly how it should be done. Seeing her smiling, dancing and enjoying herself so much was a real highlight of the evening and brought a smile to everyone watching.

The second, and without doubt the superstar of the night, was Chris and Roo’s grandson Marley. He simply did not stop moving from the moment the music started. Full of energy and excitement, Marley was everywhere at once, dancing around with his nanna and loving every second of it. His enthusiasm was infectious and he had everyone smiling as he stole the spotlight in the most wonderful way. It is moments like that which make nights truly unforgettable.

To make the evening even more special, we also had the chance to throw in a couple of impromptu tunes to celebrate two birthdays in the room. Spontaneous moments like that always add something extra to the night and made the celebrations even more memorable for those involved.

All in all, it was another fantastic night at Hampton Road Social Club. Great music, a packed dance floor, wonderful company and memories that will stay with us for a long time. A huge thank you to everyone who came along, sang, danced and supported us. We cannot wait to return and do it all again soon.
