The Belle Vue
Some venues simply hire a band to provide entertainment for the evening. Others become an integral part of the local music community, offering a stage for talented musicians and creating an atmosphere that keeps live music thriving. The Belle Vue in Blackpool firmly belongs in the second category and has earned a reputation as one of the area’s most passionate supporters of local bands and artists.
Known for its welcoming atmosphere, enthusiastic crowds and commitment to showcasing quality live music, The Belle Vue once again proved why it remains a favourite destination for both musicians and music lovers alike when it welcomed the Jack Burr Band for an evening of music spanning the decades.
Before discussing the performance itself, special recognition must go to dep drummer Joe who stepped in at the very last minute. With virtually no opportunity to rehearse with the band, many would have expected a solid but cautious performance. Instead, Joe delivered something quite remarkable. From the opening number to the final encore, his drumming was energetic, precise and packed with confidence. More importantly, he immediately connected with the rest of the band helping to drive the songs forward with a level of intensity that perfectly complemented the party atmosphere inside the venue. It was an impressive display of musicianship and professionalism that deservedly earned the admiration of both the audience and his fellow band members.
The Jack Burr Band arrived with around forty loyal followers, many of whom had travelled specifically to support the band. Combined with the venue’s regular customers, this created a lively and vibrant atmosphere long before the first song was played. As the evening progressed the dance floor remained busy, voices joined in with familiar choruses and the energy in the room continued to build.
One of the strengths of the Jack Burr Band has always been their ability to perform music from across multiple decades while maintaining their own distinctive sound and personality. Whether delivering classic rock favourites, crowd-pleasing anthems or singalong hits, the band kept the audience fully engaged throughout the night. The setlist offered something for everyone, ensuring that every corner of the venue was enjoying the occasion.
What made the evening particularly memorable was the sense of community that could be felt throughout the venue. The Belle Vue is more than just a pub hosting live music; it is a venue that genuinely embraces local musicians and understands the important role live entertainment plays in bringing people together. That commitment was evident once again on this occasion, with staff, customers and performers all contributing to a fantastic night’s entertainment.
On behalf of the Jack Burr Band, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to The Belle Vue and its loyal customers for their continued support of the local music scene. Venues like this provide opportunities for local musicians to perform, develop and connect with audiences, while giving music lovers the chance to experience live entertainment in its most authentic form.
Without venues such as The Belle Vue and without the customers who regularly turn out to support live performances, the local music scene would undoubtedly suffer. Thankfully, nights like this remind us that live music remains alive and well in Blackpool and long may that continue.
