The White Bull
Our return to The White Bull promised to be an entertaining one and the gig most definitely lived up to that promise. From the moment we arrived, there was an unmistakable buzz in the air, familiar faces, friendly greetings and a lively atmosphere.
The night came courtesy of one unforgettable local legend who took it upon himself to kickstart the dance floor. He didn’t just dance, he owned the floor with great energy, enthusiasm and absolutely no hesitation. Before long, he was pulling others in, encouraging everyone around him to get involved. His confidence was infectious setting the tone for the rest of the night. It’s always incredible to see how one person’s energy can transform a room and on this occasion, he single-handedly sparked a wave of movement that carried the entire evening.
As the night went on the drinks flowed and the crowd became louder, livelier and more connected. We fed off their energy just as much as they fed off ours, creating that perfect back-and-forth that makes live music so special.
All in all the night was yet another huge success. The locals at The White Bull truly know how to have a good time and we’re already excited about returning in the future. If this gig was anything to go by the next one will be even bigger.
A Moment to Remember …
One of—if not the—first songs Andy Burr learned on guitar was House of the Rising Sun by The Animals. And yet, on this particular night, he forgot how to play it.
This is a moment worth holding onto.
It’s like a rare diamond, unexpected, imperfect and strangely beautiful. Witness it. Remember it. Cherish it because moments like this don’t come around often.
And Finally …
And finally, we have to give a huge thanks to our stand-in drummer, Kev. Our regular drummer, Paul, was unable to make the gig and with no notice at all, Mick stepped up, no rehearsals, no prep and absolutely nailed it. A fantastic job under pressure.
