The Cardwell Arms

Saturday 22nd August – The Cardwell, Adlington

Saturday night, the boys were back at The Cardwell in Adlington. Once again taking over the beer garden.

This is one of those venues we always look forward to returning to. There’s just something about an outdoor gig, a few beers flowing and a crowd ready for a good night and The Cardwell rarely disappoints.

As always we received a cracking welcome. Plenty of familiar faces had turned up to support the boys, but there were also quite a few new ones in the crowd. Hopefully we managed to convert a few more into followers before the night was over!

Even the British weather decided to cooperate for once. It stayed dry which we'll happily take as a victory, although as the evening went on it started getting a little bit bloody nippy.

Now, apparently Chris had received some kind of secret weather briefing that the rest of us weren't privy to.

Out came the nice warm hoodie.

There he stood, all snug and comfortable, while the rest of us slowly developed hypothermia. Cheers mate. 😂

Thankfully the boys provided the heating.

Once they got going, it was another cracking performance plenty of energy, great tunes and a beer garden full of people enjoying themselves. Before long we'd forgotten about the cold and were simply enjoying what turned into another brilliant night.

These are the gigs I love photographing. Nothing overcomplicated. Just a band doing what they do best, people having a good time and me wandering around with a camera trying to capture the bits everyone else might miss.

Another great night at The Cardwell.
