Shickers Tavern
Saturday 21st March saw us finally roll back into Shickers Tavern. From the second we walked in, it felt like one of those rare venues that just get it.
Often described as a micro-bar, Shickers might be small in size, but it more than makes up for it in character, atmosphere and soul. This place punches well above its weight.
From the artwork on the walls to the energy in the room, everything about Shickers feels steeped in music, creativity and authenticity. You don’t feel like you’re just playing at the venue you feel like you’re part of it.
JBB often talks about venues that fit us like a pair of well-worn socks, comfortable, familiar and completely right, Shickers Tavern is exactly that.
From the first song, the room was alive. The atmosphere was electric, the crowd fully engaged and every reaction felt genuine. It wasn’t just people watching a band it felt like everyone in the room was part of the night.
The intimacy of the space only made that connection stronger. The energy came straight back at us, pushed us on and made the whole set fly by far too quickly.
By the end of the night, all we felt was gratitude for venues like Shickers that back live music, for audiences that show up and lean in and for nights that remind you why you do this in the first place.
If you love live music, atmosphere, and venues with real soul, Shickers Tavern is one you need to experience.
Thank You for the Support
A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support us on Saturday; you did us proud. If you took any photos or videos, we’d love to see them! Please share them with us; we’d be proud to feature them right here on our site and on our social media channels.
