Shickers Tavern

Saturday 3rd October saw us roll back into Shickers Tavern for the final time this year and what a cracking gig to finish on.

Shickers is often described as a micro-bar, which technically means it’s small. What it actually means is they’ve somehow managed to cram the atmosphere of a venue three times its size into one gloriously musical little room.

This place punches well above its weight.

From the artwork covering the walls to the characters filling the room, Shickers has music, creativity and personality running right through it. You don’t really feel like you’re playing at Shickers, you feel like you’ve temporarily become part of the furniture.

And I mean that as a compliment. 😂

JBB often talks about certain venues fitting us like a pair of well-worn socks — comfortable, familiar and somehow just right.

Shickers is definitely one of those socks.

Joe once again stood in for our usual drummer and did an amazing job

From the first song, the room was alive. People singing, reacting, getting involved and genuinely becoming part of the night. In a venue this intimate there’s nowhere for the energy to disappear. Whatever you throw out comes straight back at you.

And Saturday night, it came back in bucketloads.

Before we knew it, we were at the end of the set wondering where the bloody night had gone.

So, as we say goodbye to Shickers for 2026, a massive thank you to everyone who came along, joined in and made it another belting night.

And an even bigger thank you to Shickers Tavern for continuing to back live music and giving bands like us somewhere with a bit of character, a bit of soul and a whole lot of heart.

If you love live music and proper little venues where you feel part of what’s happening rather than simply watching it…

Get yourself to Shickers.

Small bar.

Massive personality.

Thank You for the Support

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support us on Saturday; you did us proud. If you took any photos or videos, we’d love to see them! Please share them with us; we’d be proud to feature them right here on our site and on our social media channels.
